PwC to accelerate HR Tech Disruptor Acolyte

Acolyte is recognised today as it joins the Raise Investment programme run by PwC, the global professional services network

The success of Acolyte, the energetic company shaking up the recruitment world, is recognised today as it joins the Raise Investment programme run by PwC, the global professional services network, in a move that could open up millions in extra funding.

HR Tech disrupter Acolyte, one of a new breed of recruitment service providers, blends technology, big data and AI with research, human expertise and a highly personalised service to encourage direct recruitment strategies - and remove staffing agency costs.

Alastair Gorton, CEO and founder of Acolyte, said:

“The digital environment has revolutionised how talent interacts with the labour market - candidates are readily identifiable on job boards and social media platforms. However, employers are struggling to turn this candidate data into successful hires. This means agency fees remain a necessary evil. Working with PwC should allow Acolyte to bring to market a recruitment service that capitalises on this candidate data, allowing employers to build effective internal recruitment solutions while removing reliance on traditional recruitment agencies.”

Chief Product Officer Ryan Hall said:

“Everything necessary for employers to reach their required talent is readily available but hard to access. Acolyte’s platform fills professional vacancies quickly and in a way that can be easily accessed again and again when new recruits are needed. Additionally, our self-serve platform uses this insight to inform client hiring strategies. Whether the focus is on improving Diversity & Inclusivity, establishing lasting Employer Value Propositions or resolving challenges with Attraction & Retention, our platform de-mystifies the recruitment process and gives organisations the transparency to take back control of their hiring.”

The PwC Raise Investment programme is a face-to-face service to help scale-ups prepare for Series A funding of between £1m and £20m+ which, following a series of masterclasses focused on getting pitch ready, will culminate in introductions and presentations to over 60 curated venture capital firms and family offices.
